Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is launching a Google ad campaign designed to get New Yorkers to move to Texas.

The Texans for Greg Abbott Facebook page states, "Keep Your Guns, Come to TX."  A note from Greg Abbott appears below the logo and reads, "Here in Texas, you will have the liberty and the opportunity to achieve your dreams. On top of that, we have no income tax, yet still manage to have a multi-billion dollar budget surplus."

He goes on to say, "You’ll also get to keep more of what you earn and use some of that extra money to buy more ammo."  Both the statement and the fight are bold.

The campaign is being paid for Texans for Greg Abbott.  Ads will appear as pop-ups on several media outlet sites, including Internet pages for the New York Times.

Jonathan Tilove, a writer for The Austin American Statesman reported that Abbott campaign spokesman Eric Bearse "...did not put a dollar figure on (the advertising campaign), but said it was a 'sizable web-based buy' that would continue for a few days."
