The Boston Marathon Was Dedicated To The Victims Of The Sandy Hook Tragedy – Surviving Familes From Newtown Connecticut Were At The Race
As if the bombing during the Boston Marathon wasn’t tragic enough, throw in the fact that the road race was actually officially dedicated to the victims and their families of the Newtown, CT tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary – And the families were in attendance and seated right near where the bombs went off.
There were 26 victims at Sandy Hook and each of the 26 miles of the race was dedicated to one of the victims. All of their surviving family were seated in the VIP section at the race next to the finish line which is very close to where the bombs exploded. We have no word yet as to if any of them were killed or injured yesterday but MAN.
My band Showtime and I played a benefit just this past weekend for the victims of the Newtown tragedies where the father of one of the victims was in attendance with his band that went on right after us. Now yesterday happens?? What is this world coming to? Below is a video captured by a Boston Globe videographer who caught the whole thing on tape from the finish line. Be advised, some of the images are disturbing and there is some uncensored profanity…
Whoever did this knew EXACTLY what they were doing and will have a lot to answer for when they are hunted down and captured. I’m not even directly affected by either tragedy but this is just literally too much to process.
