New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - If you have old papers and other files that need shredding, you're in luck.

Deb Cabral, known locally as The DeClutter Coach, is working with JAY-K Lumber and Confidata to host "Shred Day" at the lumber store's New Hartford location.

From 9 to 11 Monday morning, people can bring up to five boxes of old bills, letters and other documents to the store and watch it get shredded by Confidata's mobile truck. Other items, like newspapers, magazines and binders are not accepted.

Cabral says paper clutter is something she sees with many of her clients, but can be quickly and easily dealt with.

"If you have not looked at the papers in years, if you have moved a box of paper from house to house without even opening it or if your house is just overly cluttered with paper, it's time to go through it and get rid of it," Cabral said.

"Shred Day" is part of Get Organized Month, a nationwide movement by the National Association of Professional Organizers.
