Daylight Saving time is ready for exit once again as we enter Fall/Winter 2018.  As the saying goes, ‘Spring Forward, Fall Back’ which means it's almost time to set the clocks back one hour.

Daylight Saving Time officially ends on Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 a.m..

Daylight Saving Time was enacted to save energy and cut down on crime. Arizona and Hawaii are the only states that don’t participate. The time change used to begin later in the spring until Congress voted to move up the date back in 2007.

On Sunday, November 4th, sunrise will be at 6:40 a.m. and will set at 5:37 p.m.. The shortest day of 2018 will be on December 21st. Sunrise will be at 7:16 a.m. and sunset will be at 4:31 p.m.. The amount of sunlight on the 21st is 9 hours and 15 minutes.  Daylight Saving Time will return on Sunday, March 10, 2019.
