Upto a foot or more of new snow, and dangerous travel conditions are forecast for the Mohawk Valley in the storm which began churning on Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued the Winter Storm Warning several CNY counties including Oneida, Lewis, Otsego, Oswego, Herkimer, and Madison through early Monday afternoon.

Sleet or freezing rain may mix with the snow and make travel conditions dangerous across the Mohawk Valley, Syracuse-area and Capital Region.

Expected snow totals are expected in the 7-12 inch range with temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s.
