As if the latest 'Walking Dead' latest twist in this past Sunday's "Isolation" hadn't assured us to watch next week, the recent announcement of a season 5 renewal puts shambling walkers in both our immediate and distant futures. More urgently, however, how will Rick handle Carol's confession in this Sunday's "Indifference"? We've got a clue in the latest photos and clip, plus what does zombie legend George Romero have to do with it?

The first photos of Sunday's all-new episode feature Rick and Carol out on a supply mission to help the newly infected Hershel, while Daryl and his crew struggle to evade last week's herd as they continue on to the veterinary college for supplies of their own. We've got an exceptionally bad feeling about this one, considering Carol's confession to Rick last week and her willingness to go out on the road with him, while that mysterious voice heard in Daryl's car could imply a bigger threat out there than a measly old 7,500 walkers.

Elsewhere, a curious tidbit from original 'Night of the Living Dead' director George Romero emerged today from The Big Issue, after Romero had previously revealed in 2011 that he'd declined to direct episodes of AMC's original series.

They asked me to do a couple of episodes of 'The Walking Dead,' but I didn’t want to be a part of it. Basically it’s just a soap opera with a zombie occasionally. I always used the zombie as a character for satire or a political criticism and I find that missing in what’s happening now.

Ouch! Well, whatever your feelings on 'The Walking Dead,' check out the latest photos from Sunday's "Indifference" below, and give us your predictions for the next chapter of AMC's monster hit in the comments!
