Third Annual Holiday Gift Program Completed At Oneida County Jail

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is celebrating another successful "Santa Cares -- Holiday Gift Program."

Sheriff Rob Maciol says the program, which started in 2014, allows inmates at the County Jail to use funds from their personal commissary account to buy presents and gift cards for their children.

The items are then wrapped and sent to the inmates families in time for Christmas.

This year, 12 inmates took part in the program.
