Despite warmer temperatures the threat of hazardous winter weather continues. The National Weather Service out of Binghamton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory due to the threat of freezing rain.

Starting at Noon today, the advisory goes into effect and it will last until Thursday at 7 a.m. The majority of freezing rain will come Wednesday afternoon.

Risks of freezing rain include slippery bridges and roadways. Use caution always and be sure to slow down.

Herkimer County will also see a Winter Weather Advisory for Freezing Rain go into effect today at 3:00 p.m. That will last until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
