Three Broome County Women Accused of Gang Assault

Three women are accused of gang assault following an incident at a business in the Town of Union.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 48-year-old Emily Baleno of Endwell, 50 year old Marie Newkirk of Port Crane and 41-year-old Bridgette Bensley of Endicott are accused of confronting another woman as she was leaving a Main Street, Endwell restaurant July 23, 2015knocking her to the ground, punching and kicking her, causing serious physical injury and dental damage.

Authorities have not released the exact location or name of the business where the incident reportedly took place.

Police say the suspects apparently knew the woman.

All three are charged with felony gang assault.  They were ordered to appear in court at a later date.
