A sheriff's helicopter rescued three deer hunters who fell through the ice over the weekend in Basom, New York.

The three were airlifted from the frozen Alabama Swamps by Erie County Sheriffs who had to make multiple landings after firefighters were unable to bring the hunters to safety.

The first call for help came just after 2:30 in the afternoon on Sunday, November 24. 2013.

The rescue involved multiple agencies.

All of the hunters are said to have suffered only minor injuries.
