New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - Three people were sent to the hospital in a two car crash on French Road in New Hartford.

Police say Darlene Dugan of Sherrill failed to stop at a red light, and was struck as she passed through the intersection near Home Depot by a utility van.

Dugan's SUV rolled onto its roof, leaving her and a 16 year old passenger trapped inside until the New York Mills fire officials arrived.

The van's driver, Steven Bullis of Washington Mills was taken to the hospital. Police say Dugan sustained a large contusion to her head. The teenaged passenger reported a hip injury.

Dugan was ticketed in the crash.
