The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested three members of an alleged shoplifting ring.

32-year old Wyzettta Henderson and 29-year old Terrell Brody of Utica and 50-year old Robert Newton of Blossvale are charged criminal possession of stolen property.

The three were wanted for a larceny in progress at the Walmart in Rome.

Following a traffic stop, deputies say they found over $500 worth of meat and other items in the suspects' vehicle.

An investigation revealed the trio abandoned the Rome larceny attempt.  However, deputies say the items had been just been stolen from Riverside Center Walmart in Utica.

Henderson, Brody and Newton were turned over to Utica Police, where they face more charges.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities say the trio is suspected of additional larcenies in Rome and Utica.
