Thruway Toll Hikes Could Be Decided This Fall

Albany, NY (WIBX) - Word on a possible toll hike for drivers on the New York State Thruway could come sooner rather than later.

Thruway Authority Executive Director Thomas Madison says meetings are scheduled next month to discuss a change to the toll structure, but the amount of any potential increase remains unclear.

One proposal includes raising the toll rate 45% on commercial trucks.

Madison says discussions of any increase will include the feedback received at three public hearings held on toll hikes in August.
