Tim Cook, Apple CEO: ‘I’m Gay’
Apple CEO Tim Cook has made a big announcement.
It's not about a new watch, tablet/ipad or phone. Cook is gay.
In an essay written for Bloomberg Businessweek, the Apple CEO says that while he never denied his sexuality, he never publicly acknowledged it, either. Cook has been open about his orientation with many people, including other Apple employees, he says.
Cook says his focus is on being the best CEO he can be and will personally continue to advocate for equality for all people. He came out because he believes his announcement may help others, he said.
