The race for Governor highlights the statewide ballot as voters head to the polls today.

Incumbent Democrat Andrew Cuomo is facing a challenge from Republican Rob Astorino.

Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins and Libertarian Michael McDermott are also running for Governor.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is facing a challenge from John Cahill and Comptroller Tom DiNapoli is running for re-election against Bob Antonacci, the Onondaga County Comptroller..

Locally, Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney is opposed by Herkimer County Sheriff's Chris Farber in the 101st Assembly District

Dawn Catera Lupi, Julia Brouliette and Karen Stanislaus are vying for the newly created Oneida County Family Court Judge position.

In Utica, current Common Council President Frank Meola is running against Councilman Frank Vescera and incumbent Jack Lomedico is facing Tim Trent for Councilor at large.

There are also three statewide propositions on the ballot.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
