Today Is National HIV Testing Day

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Today is National HIV Testing Day. The annual campaign is put on by the National Association of People with AIDS and is aimed at encouraging people to get tested.
According to the Center for Disease Control, 1 in 5 people are unaware that they are living with HIV. Officials say although this day is designated to encourage testing, it also serves as a reminder of the continued threat of infection when precautions aren’t taken.
