Tow Trucker Operator Killed In Thruway Accident

Manlius, NY (WIBX) - State Police say a Mattydale man was killed when he struck by a tractor-trailer on the Thruway.It happened just after 11:00 Sunday night in the eastbound lane of the Thruway in the Town of Manlius

Troopers say 53-year old Todd Young was working for Northern Lights Towing of Mattydale and was loading a disabled vehicle onto his tow truck when he was hit by a tractor-trailer driven by 40-year old Kurt Brown of Herkimer.

No other injuries were reported.

Brown was ticketed for making an unsafe lane change.
