Traffic Safety Check Results In Multiple Arrests

Oneida County, NY (WIBX) - A joint traffic safety check at the NYS Thruway interchange resulted in multiple arrests. Officials say they nabbed three undocumented men who were turned over to US Border Patrol Agents. They made 1 felony drug arrest, 5 unlawful possession of marijuana arrest, 1 arrest for unlicensed operation and 14 traffic tickets were issued. The road check was conducted by UPD Special Operations Unit, UPD Traffic Division DWI Enforcement, New York State Police, (Troop T) and the US Border Patrol.
