A traffic stop in Rome has led to the arrest of a Remsen woman on drug charges.

54-year old Aida Carrilio was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after Rome Police allegedly found her in possession of 12 individually packaged baggies of Fentanyl

Police say Carrilio's vehicle has been the focal point of several complaints regarding drug activity on the 100 block of West Dominick Street.

Carrilio was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation.

The Rome Police Patrol Division was assisted in the investigation by Rome Police Detectives from the Special Investigations Unit, along with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.
