Traffic Stop In Rome Leads To Drug Charges

Two people are facing drug charges following a traffic stop by Rome Police.

While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, officers noticed a strong odor of what appeared to be marijuana coming from the vehicle.

22-year old Michael Coonrod and 18-year old Alanna Wiediger are charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

During the booking process, officers allegedly found Wiediger in possession of Suboxone, which resulted in an additional charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
