A traffic stop in Waterville has led to the arrest of a West Winfield man on drug charges.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 44-year old Kevin Bond fled after being stopped and was taken into custody after a foot chase and brief struggle.

Deputies say the vehicle Bond was driving contained items commonly used to make methamphetamine.  A quantity of meth was also allegedly found in the vehicle.

Bond is facing charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

During the investigation, it was learned that Bond has an active warrant in Pennsylvania for a parole violation relating to an assault.

He's being held in the County Jail without bail.
