Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Utica police say a traffic stop led to the arrest of a Utica man. According to officials 46 year old Darrin Nichols of Green Street is facing two misdemeanor charges, including a traffic infraction. Nichols was pulled over at the intersection of Lenox Avenue and Warren Street after failing to signal for a turn. After their investigation, police charged the suspect with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a vehicle and failure to signal for a turn. The suspect will face the charges in Utica City Court at a later date.
