Train Derailment In New Jersey Causes Toxic Chemical Spill

Paulsboro, NJ (WIBX) – The toxic gas vinyl chloride is thought to be spilling into the Mantua Creek in Paulsboro, New Jersey after a train derailed this morning.
The chemical is used during the manufacturing of plastics. At least five people have been taken to the hospital for treatment of breathing difficulties. Others in the vicinity are being told to remain inside their homes and businesses as fumes spread throughout the area.
