Transit Officials Investigate Death on Rail Tracks At Utica Station In Buffalo
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Officials say the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority's Metro Rail service in Buffalo was suspended overnight as transit police investigated a death on the tracks at Utica Station.
NFTA spokesman Doug Hartmayer tells WKBW-TV (http://bit.ly/2asTFZD ) that a body was found on the tracks around 11:30 p.m. Monday. Officials say the victim appears to be a male teenager.
Authorities didn't immediately identify the victim.
It's unclear what caused the death.
Hartmayer says crews are working to resume regular service in the morning.
