Troopers Recover Two Bodies From DeRuyter Home

State Police are still investigating a scene in DeRuyter where two bodies were recovered early this morning.

Troopers were called to 1599 Seminary Street last night by a family member who said Michele Green, 48, didn't show up for work on Sunday morning and could not be reached by phone.

But, when troopers entered the rear door of the home they found Edward Green, 48, in the kitchen with a shotgun.

The area was evacuated and a perimeter was set up. Shortly after, a gunshot was heard.

When the State Police Special Operations Response Team entered the home again at 4:30 this morning, both Michele and Edward Green were found dead from gunshot wounds.
