Trumbo’s Walk-Off Beats Yankees 9-8

Mark Trumbo launched Cory Wade's (0-1) third pitch of the game deep into the L.A. night for an Angles 9-8 walk-off win over the Yankees on Monday night.

New York jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead after Angel's ace Jared Weaver left after just a dozen pitches with lower back pain.

Trialing 8-5 in the seventh inning, the Yanks tied with a Nick Swisher's sacrifice fly and a two-RBI double from Russell Martin.

Phil Hughes was bounced around for 11 hits and seven runs over 5 1/3 innings, moving his ERA to 5.64.

Curtis Granderson hit his 15th homer run and Mark Teixeira added his ninth, with each finishing with two hits and two runs scored.

L.A.' s Howie Kendrick and Kendrys Morales had two hits and three apiece, while Trumo's three hits and two runs driven in moved his average to .333.
