WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump will hold his first re-election fundraiser next week on familiar turf: his own hotel.

Trump can see the Trump International Hotel from the White House lawn. His campaign director Michael Glassner says that makes it a convenient location for the June 28 major-donor event.

But the choice raises ethics questions, according to conflict of interest attorneys who have been critical of Trump's decision not to cut financial ties with his global business empire.

Ethics experts say his continued appearances at his own for-profit properties double as a form of advertising that inappropriately enriches him. An Associated Press tally finds that he's visited such locations 37 times as president.

Money raised by the upcoming fundraiser will be shared by Trump's 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee.
