Deerfield, NY (WIBX) - An early morning accident in the Town of Deerfield leads to two arrests.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, 23-year-old Cory Badger, of Utica, was driving southbound on Route 12 in Deerfield when he lost control of his vehicle, hitting the center guide rail.

When police arrived, they noticed Badger was allegedly intoxicated and arrested him.

Officials say they later learned of a passenger, 21-year-old Taryn Aiken, of Rome, who was wanted on a no bail County Court warrant for vehicle theft.

She was later tracked and found hiding in the garage of a home on Miller Road.

Badger is charged with misdemeanor DWI and blood Alcohol Content over point-0-8, along with "open container" and "speed not reasonable" infractions.

Aiken was charged with criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.
