Two Arrested After “Bath Salts” Found In Car

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - Two Herkimer County residents are facing drug charges after they were allegedly caught with "Bath Salts."

According to New Hartford Police,  Katrina Pope, 24, of Little Falls, and Ricky Coffin, 21, a homeless former resident of Little Falls, were parked in the New Hartford Shopping Center early this morning.

As the officer approached the vehicle, Pope tried to avoid being seen. During the investigation, "bath salts" and other items used for drug selling were found, including scales, cutting agents and packaging materials.

Pope and Coffin were charged with both felony and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. The felony charges were added when police found the drug selling paraphernalia.

They were taken to Oneida County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail.
