Town of Trenton, NY (WIBX) - A domestic dispute in the Town of Trenton resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old man and a 17-year-old teen. According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, the incident started when the man broke into the home of his child's mother around midnight last night, and barricaded himself in a bedroom, refusing to cooperate with officers on the scene.

Scott Goodson, who suffered cuts on his hands after breaking a window to gain entry, was subsequently apprehended and charged with the following offenses:

  • Burglary second degree a class C felony,
  • Criminal Contempt First Degree a class E felony
  • Aggravated Criminal Contempt a class D felony
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Assault
  • Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

Officials say he caused injury to the child's mother when she tried to prevent him from gaining entry into the home and cut her hands on the glass. He's also accused of violating an order of protection and fighting with the arresting officers. Goodson was arraigned in the Town of Marcy Court and committed to the Oneida County Jail with no bail. A 17-year-old teen, who was not named, was also arrested for allegedly attempting to stop police from arresting Goodson. She was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest.
