Kirkland, NY (WIBX) - Two men are facing drug charges, following a two month investigation by the Kirkland Police Department.

According to police, in December 2011, they began to receive calls from concerned citizens of suspicious activity around the Clark Mills home of Greg Owens, 38.

Owens, along with and Eric Mikuta, 27, of Rome, were arrested after being stopped by police in separate vehicles. Police allegedly found quantities of heroin on both suspects.

Mikuta is charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Owens faces a slew of charges, including both misdemeanor and felony criminal possession of a controlled substance charges and criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Police say more charges are pending while the investigation continues.
