FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — A spokesman at Fort Meade says two people are being treated for injuries at one of the gates of the sprawling Army installation near Baltimore.

Chad Jones says emergency responders are on the scene.

He says he doesn't know how the injuries occurred.

Local television showed two damaged vehicles near a gate to the base and emergency workers loading an injured uniformed man into an ambulance.

UPDATED 12:33 P.M.- The FBI is investigating this morning's shooting incident at NSA headquarters in Fort Meade.

In a statement, the federal agency said the shooting scene is contained and investigators do not believe it is related to terrorism.

One person is dead and at least one injured after reports say two men who were dressed as women tried to ram an SUV into an NSA gate and gunfire erupted.

The FBI says its Evidence Response Team is processing the scene, and agents are working with NSA Police and other agencies to interview witnesses.
