A Madison County man is facing numerous charges after leading police from multiple agencies on a pursuit through two counties..

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says a State Trooper tried  to pull over 22-year old Corey Carbery of Bridgeport on Route 31,  but the pursuit was called off due to excessive speed.

The vehicle was then spotted by another trooper in the Town of Verona, then into the City of Sherrill,  heading westbound on Route 5 back into Madison County.

The chase ended just outside Canastota.

After Carbery was stopped, he got out of the vehicle without putting it in park and the car rolled into a marked sheriff's patrol car.

Authorities say a search of Carbery's vehicle turned up various drug items, a women's purse and several credit cards.

Carbery is facing charges including unlawfully fleeing a police officer, DWI and criminal possession of stolen property.
