Two Flee After Assault, One Captured And Charged
Utica, NY (WIBX) – Utica police investigating reports of a fight on the 1600 block of Neilson Street, arrested one of the suspects on drug charges. Officials say, 31-year-old Bryan Slaughter and the other suspect–who was able to allude capture–allegedly asked the victim to hide drugs in her home. When she refused and threatened to call police, one of the suspects assaulted her.
The two men fled on foot when the victim called police. Officials chased the two men on foot through several streets, but only apprehended one of them. The victim, who had an active order of protection against Slaughter, turned over the drugs, which police say turned out to be imitation drugs. Slaughter is charged with Harassment, Possession of Imitation Controlled Substance and Criminal Contempt.
