Two Injured In Westmoreland Crash

Westmoreland, NY (WIBX) – Two people were injured in a two-car accident in Westmoreland Tuesday afternoon.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year old Lydia Kauffman of Bainbridge failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of College Hill Road and Skyline Drive.

Kauffman’s vehicle crashed into a car driven by 48-year old Laurie Reese of Vernon.

Both vehicles left the road and ended up in a field.

Reese suffered back and leg injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital.

Kauffman sustained leg injuries and cuts to her face and was taken to St.Elizabeth Medical Center.

Her two children, who were in the car, were not injured.

Deputies charged Kauffman with failure to stop for a stop sign.
