Two Men Arrested On Thruway For Drug Possession

A traffic stop on the Thruway in the Utica-area led to the arrest of two men on drug charges and the seizure of a half kilo of cocaine with a street value of over $10,000.

State Police pulled a car over for speeding and allegedly discovered the cocaine during a search of the vehicle.

29-year old Carlos De la Cruz-Mota of Utica and 20-year old Ricardo Otero of St. Lawrence, Massachusetts were both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police also found over $100,000 in cash.
