Two Men Facing Drug Charges Following Utica Raids

Two people are facing drug charges following the execution of a search warrant in the City of Utica.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, the Narcotics Unit raided homes on Shaw Street and Nichols Street.

During the search Investigators discovered cocaine, crack-cocaine, marijuana, US Currency and drug paraphernalia.

The two arrested were 28-year-old Akeem Bigelow and 32-year-old Mahon East III. Bigelow has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree. East is facing an Unlawful Possession of Marijuana charge in the 4th degree.

Bigelow is being held at Oneida County Jail on $25,000 bail and East was released and is due in City of Utica Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted by multiple agencies and other charges are pending Oneida County Grand Jury action.
