Two inmates at the Oneida County jail are facing charges after they were each allegedly found to be in possession of a plastic spork with a ground down handle to be used as a shank.

19-year old Austin Plemons of Georgetown and 23-year old Roy Zehr of Rome are both charged with promoting prison contraband and further charges are pending.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened during an altercation involving a Corrections Officer
