Utica, NY (WIBX) - Two Utica residents face a slew of charges after Utica Police found crack cocaine inside their vehicle.

UPD officers responded to a parked car on someone's property on South Street.

Officers saw Zeffeire Hobbs, 22, and Brooke Smith, 28, in the car, but when asked why they were there Hobbs tried to drive off, nearly striking the officers twice. Once Hobbs was arrested, UPD searched the vehicle finding a glass tube and crack cocaine.

Both are charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Hobbs also faces other charges including three counts of Reckless Endangerment, two counts of Resisting Arrest and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
