Two People Facing Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police arrested two people following a traffic stop yesterday. According to the report, 50 year old Grady Jones of Chestnut Street and 27 year old Ameya Hunt of Lincoln Avenue are facing several drug charges.

Officials say Jones is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 5th Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle due to the suspect's suspended license. Also, Jones is charged with failure to stop at a stop sign.

His female passenger, Hunt, is facing Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Hunt is also facing charges for drinking alcohol in the car.
