Two Rabid Animals Confirmed In Herkimer County

Herkimer County Public Health is reporting two separate cases of rabid animals in the county.

Officials say a bat and goat were sent to the Wadsworth Lab in Albany and confirmed to be infected with the rabies virus.

They're reminding residents that all animal bites should be reported.  And they say it's important that pets are kept up to date with their rabies vaccinations.
