The Utica Zoo is celebrating two new additions -- two Red Panda cubs were born at the zoo on July 14th.

The zoo's Red Pandas, Ming Yue (mother) and Muse (father),  were recommended to breed as part of the Red Panda Species Survival Plan. Ming Yue is two-years old and has been at the Utica Zoo for a year while Muse is four-years old and has been at the zoo for three years.

Red Panda Cubs weigh about 100 grams at birth, meaning they can fit in the palm of your hand.

The new cubs won't be on view to the public for a minimum of 60 days.
