Two Rome PD Members Promoted To Lieutenant

Rome, NY (WIBX) – A ceremony at Rome City Hall this morning marked the promotion of two members of the Rome Police Department. Senior Investigator Jonathan Carr and Sergeant Dominic Corigliano were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Detective Commander Tim Bates said, “Lieutenant Carr, he was the Senior Investigator of our Juvenile Aid Division. He’s now a Lieutenant assigned to the afternoon shift as a Watch Commander and Lieutenant Corigliano who was a Patrol Sergeant on the day shift is now a Lieutenant of the afternoon watch.”
Bates says the officers were promoted after going through a rigorous selection process. Corigliano joined the Rome Police Department in 1989 and Carr has been a member since 2000. Officials say the bump in rank also means an increase in salary for the two law men.
