Two victims of a Saturday shooting in Utica are giving police conflicting accounts of what happened and now authorities are asking to public for any information that can help their investigation.

Utica Police responded to a report that two people were shot near Seymour and Arthur Streets at approximately 5:00pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

The victims have been identified as Corwin Weathers and Rahmel Westhers.  One of the brothers suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, the other to his arm.  Both said that they were together at the time of the shooting, but their stories differ as to exactly what happened.

Police say that they are pursuing the investigation vigilantly, despite the apparent lack of cooperation by the victims, because the public's safety may be at risk.
