Two Swimmers Rescued in Owasco River

Two girls are safe and sound today after being rescued from the Owasco River yesterday.

Emergency personnel were called to a part of the river near the Genesee Street Bridge in Auburn, New York after a bystander called 911 to report that the girls were being swept away by strong currents.

The Auburn Fire Department is reminding residents that the river is off-limits to swimmers.
