Two men are in custody for allegedly attacking the owners of a home with a machete then stealing from them.

State Police in Hastings say that cash and a long gun were among the items stolen from the home on Railroad Street in the Village of Parish, New York.  Although the alleged attackers had left by the time police arrived they were later spotted by Oswego County Sheriffs and later stopped on I-81 near Central Square.

19-Year old Malik L. DeJesus and 21-year old Christian M. Figueroa of Syracuse are both being charged with felony burglary and weapons possession.  Figueroa is also being charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

Dejesus and Figueroa are being held at the Oswego County Jail while they await court appearances.

New York State Police were assisted by the Oswego County Sheriffs Office and Village of Central Square Police.
