Two Taken To Hospital Following French Road Accident

Two people were treated at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital following a two-car accident on French Rd. in front of the Home Depot.

New Hartford Police say Kasim Malcinovic, 51, of Utica, was driving southbound on French Rd. when he began to switch lanes to turn onto the Route 12 ramp.

As he switched lanes, he struck a vehicle driven by John Riolo, 69, of Rome, who was attempting to pass him on his left side.

Riolo and his passenger, Mary Riolo, 41, both complained of neck pain and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Malcinovic was ticketed for Moving from Lane Unsafely.
