Utica College is going bowling.

For the first time in the program's history, the Utica College football team has been selected to participate in an ECAC North Central Bowl Game.

The Pioneers will play at Morrisville State (8-2) on Saturday at 1:00.

"It has always been a goal of ours to make the post season and it's a tremendous accomplishment for this group to be the first team in program-history to play in the post season. 246 college football programs play in Division III and we are one of just 44 teams still practicing this week, that's special," said Utica Head Coach Blaise Faggiano. "We are making history here at Utica College - breaking the school-record for wins and now being awarded a bowl game. This is something our student-athletes will never forget. There is only one first, and we are proud to be the first bowl-bound team in UC football history."

UC finished the regular season with a program-best 7-3 record.

They've won three straight Empire 8 contests by at least ten points each.
