Unemployment Rate Remains At 9.1%

Washington, DC (WIBX) - The latest figures from the Labor Department show a gain in September, 58,000 new jobs were added.  The number of government employees fell by 34,000, mostly in the education field.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of unemployed Americans remains unchanged at 14 million.

The nation's unemployment rate remains at 9.1%.
