The Utica Blue Sox and the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area are teaming up for a baseball glove drive, with a goal of collecting 100 new gloves.

During the month of June, anyone who donates a new baseball glove at Blue Sox home games will receive free admission.

The gloves will be given to youth who participate in United Way funded programs in Oneida and Herkimer Counties.

They'll  also be used at a baseball camp hosted by the Utica Blue Sox in July.

“Utica Blue Sox are excited to be working with United Way and will continue to do so to bring more youth oriented baseball events to the community,” said George Deak, President, Utica Blue Sox.

Individuals wishing to donate may also bring new gloves to Donovan Stadium at Murnane Field everyday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and to Grande’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Sauquoit from 10:00 a.m to 10:00 p.m.through June 30th.
